Hugo Swire (@HugoSwire), minister of state at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office will introduce the lecture. Joseph Muscat (@JosephMuscat_JM) is prime minister of Malta. He was born on 22 January 1974. He successfully contested the first European Parliament elections in Malta in June 2004. In June 2008 he was elected as the leader of the Labour Party. Dr Muscat took office as prime minister of Malta on 11 March 2013. George Gaskell is pro-director (Resources and Planning) of LSE.
