“I tweeted them, saying it was too bad they didn’t watch the Bond movies in order for their bond segment, making the case that the early movies work very well in a row, being surprisingly consistent between movies all the way up to On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Instead of engaging me on the topic, or just ignoring me, they got offended and attacked me, accusing me of attacking their podcast, insulting me, devaluing me, and ganging up on me. And I hadnt said anything bad or at all about the quality of their podcast. In fact I was a fan. I don’t know how I can be now, in good conscience. I love their programming, but I don’t support bullies.
Bill Maher said something interesting once about liberals (like me) “we can agree on 95% of things, but the second we disagree about something small it’s all “fuck you go to hell!” Even liberals are capable of closing themselves off, even me. It’s too easy to slide into a mode of attacking anything that’s different, even for the most tolerant person in the world.”
