Trigger Warnings On Point
I’ve been a Crime Junkie since early on in the Pandemic this last year... No idea why I chose this year to get hooked, but probably something to do with “Yeahh... Life’s rough over here but at least I’m not dealing with any of * This nonsense GD! * “ Supernatural is their sister podcast, and once you’ve blown through all the CJ episodes it’s a nice place to land. Listening to other peoples stories has really given me perspective over the last year, and the formula Ashley and Her team use to tell stories on Supernatural (and CJ) is honestly on point. Straight and to the point, minimal cross talk, and just the exact right amount of banter. I do VO myself, and I know this team works HARD so I wanted to give a special industry shout out to: #1 the way they title the episodes. Gives you all the right info for what you’re in for and helps avoid triggering material. #2 The trigger warnings! This weeks recent episode (can’t remember the title....something something “haunted: The Wonder”) Ashley gives you a TW for self harm, then *PAUSES* for a few seconds to let people skip past the material a minute. Top notch, Flowers. Top. Notch.
