“I believe Emmanuel to be innocent and his conviction a tragedy. But I don’t see any evidence that he was racially targeted in this podcast. LOTS of speculation, but nothing else.
The authors try and demonize standard police work (what recidivism means to an investigation, when you start building a case against the primary suspect, etc.) by talking in dramatic voices and layering in spooky music.
Pretty good up until about episode 5. Then just opinion and frankly, constant slandering of the police.”
