The equality, empowerment and sustainability of accessible periods with Sakshi Vasudev
Listen now
Description
Menstruation is a well known topic, affecting half the world population monthly. But it's also a hush-hush topic, taught only vaguely in most schools. Co-hosts Chinny and Tim discuss with Sakshi Vasudev, the Founder and CEO of Bampads!, a youth social enterprise aimed to improve the environmental and social sustainability of periods and their accessibility through education and creation of their reusable pads. We delve into her perceptions and experience with periods, and why she decided to create a company with a product that would not only benefit us, our wallets and the environment, but also advocate for change in countries of period poverty, and the gender and health stigmas surrounding menstruation. If you’d like to learn more about Bampads checkout their website https://bampads.com/ or find them on instagram @bampadss. You can also follow them on LinkedIn.
