Almost all things that approach their end-of-life go to landfills. From the tin cans and snack packaging to plastic bottles and styrofoams, objects end piling up on mountain-like dumpsites with no hope to be decomposed or reproduce in sight. Cities and barangays in the Philippines were poised to put waste management under control especially with the comprehensive policies in place. Instead, local communities have been left compromising.
