Fun, funny, and informational
I love listening to Nate and Charlie and some of the guests they bring on their show. I started at the very beginning and liked revisiting some old pop songs. They give depth to songs I dismissed as being trash and they give meaning to songs I liked just because I thought they sounded good. I feel like I learn a lot by listening to them, and I do not pride myself on being very musical at all. What a great way to spend 30-40 minutes of my day (or often longer as I get caught up). They also make great connections to older music (like from the 16th century), different genres of music (like opera), and different countries (like Kenyan pop) to give you a broader knowledge of the song(s) they’re analyzing. It’s a refreshing way to listen to pop music.
