“Josh, though a new DM, does so much to convey this complex and dark story to a ragtag group of adventurers. Kent—the heart of the team—always brings smiles and much needed relief in the pervasive darkness of Barovia. Drew has taken on many characters, and they are unified by their deep flaws but also their profound display of the human condition. Ven is the stable and unifying force between the contrasting light and dark displayed by Nick and Drew, respectively. He is steady, like an iceberg adrift in the arctic. Though there is such calm on the outside, below is a tumultuous past. Josh masterfully and intricately weaves together the stories of these characters into the history of Barovia. Truly a pleasure to listen to.”
