Communication is paramount
As someone with an educational background in leadership and group psychology, I can say that Dr. Tisser is hitting on THE subject. Communication is the cornerstone of any successful, efficient operation—regardless of the field. Within the complexities and layers of the medical field, a strong network of communication is priority one when it comes to ensuring the highest level of patient care. While the most skilled and educated professionals are often talented in their primary responsibilities, i.e., health care professionals in providing medical care, communication is all too often an under-emphasized and unspoken (hehe) facet of the true duties of any health care professional. This delivery of Dr. Tisser’s vision is not only well-timed in the midst of today’s complicated healthcare landscape, it’s also the answer to a too-often-unasked question: “how do we improve patient care and satisfaction with the people and resources we already have?” Kudos to you, Dr. Tisser. This is important. I’ll be tuning in to hear more.
