Just listening to episode 75 and I nearly had tears in my eyes thinking of fantastic memories. Listening to Ian Broughtons experiences at Stoke Newington. He arrived a year after me. I was on A relief and he was on C. The way he described it back then was spot on. It was exciting and exhilarating. We couldn’t wait until we started the next shift. We was even told we had to take our annual leave by the inspector. We didn’t want it we wanted to be at work. How things changed. I ended up doing 15 years on the dog section which was the best job I ever did. It was fantastic. Eventually came of that on promotion and went into custody. That was enough to tip you over the edge but luckily I was near the end of my career. These podcasts are a fantastic listen. Very interesting, informative and realistic. No bull. It’s how it is. All the best for the series. Carl

One of the best podcasts I’ve listened to recently. Honest, to the point and cuts through the BS to tell it how it is.

Really enjoying these. Having served in the Met, Avon and Somerset and currently West Mids I share many of the same experiences. I have found myself nodding, smiling, laughing, grinding my teeth in frustration (in agreement with Iain) as I listen whilst walking my dogs. Keep it up.
