The horse has bolted
I listened to this with much hope, but can’t get over the fact that Iain Donnelly had ample time and power to stand up and speak out about ‘what was going wrong’ with British policing while serving as a superintendent. By any standards, that’s pretty high up the chain of command. In his own words, he chose not to rock the boat, which makes him an undeniable part of the problem And so, I find it a bit hard to listen to him bite the hand that fed him, while no doubt enjoying a lavish pension. And that, dear listeners, is all you need to know to understand why The Job’s F@cked.

Actually, not a laugh a minute from start to finish, just a very good low down on how it all started, public order training and life being married to a cop. Cop humour all the way through, had me chuckling away at certain things, thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done Iain, good man 👍🏼

I stumbled across this recently and I love it!! As I’m coming to the end of my 30 years in policing, it’s great to hear the truth being told. Keep it up!
