Description
Ryan and Rory turn much of the airtime over to their Afro-Canadian producer, Michael Mayers. A solutions-based thinker, Michael offers his passionate, personal views on what can be done by every citizen of the world to help those who are constant victims of racial injustice. As part of the conversation, Ryan and Rory share their observations about NHL players taking a stand on social media and whether or not this signals a shift away from the “stay out of it” mentality we’ve witnessed so often in the past. Finally, Rory asks Michael what he would like to see from white people who want to become allies of the oppressed in this struggle. This episode is produced and sound designed by Michael Mayers, and hosted by Ryan Dixon and Rory Boylen. Tape to Tape is powered by the RAM 1500 Sport, built exclusively for Canadians. The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Media Inc. or any affiliate.
