Short, sweet, relatable
I just stumbled on this podcast and find the short, succinct format to be really helpful to those of us struggling to get through the many books available that may or may not lead you into starting off with bad habits. I’ve started and stopped trying to learn for years, collecting decks without knowing why (other than a slight fascination for symbology). Theresa’s podcast is really great for giving you a starting block to understanding the imagery and associations, using language that is relatable. One of the biggest challenges for me was all the keywords. Theresa breaks the imagery down to help the reader see what’s there (while stressing intuition over keyword memorization). That she ofter refers to (and credits) Rachel Pollack’s “78 Degrees of Wisdom” (I bought it) really sold me Pollack’s writing is considered the Tarot Bible (but slightly overwhelming for a beginner). Next step: her website to check out further offerings and maybe even take some classes. Big thumb’s up.
