The concept captures all of the interesting things about meeting new people and meeting famous people and setting them all at their ease without big footing them with some host. Imagine you wandered into the most interesting backyard gathering and left laughing, thinking, and wanting to remember the address of that wonderful house was. This moves the podcast smarty-pants-rant-cynic-genre into a completely new place. The personalities are great and the casting is well thought out Meta-data that describes the way we think now days. This is appointment audio FOR SURE!

In many ways Tell Me Something I Don't Know (TMSIDK) is the perfect podcast, synthesizing the ethos of Freakonomics's Stephen Dubner with the brilliant fact checking of FiveThirtyEight's Jody Avirgan in a game show format with an emotional appeal akin to Wait Wait... Don't Tell...Read full review »

Not nearly what I hoped it would be. The format is dull, lacking even a remote sense of game show excitement. The audience felt fake, full of self-promoting academics and doctors. I'm a big fan of Freakonomics, which only added to the disappointment.
