The First Stone and Purity Culture episode 231
I totally can relate with her story being raised in a evangelical cult myself. Shes most likely suffering from Purity Culture Shame. It’s ingrained in us by the church messages or from any high control group where we are only as good as our last decision. I suffered until I “deconstructed” the view of myself in relation to those messages. It’s guilt and shame. It took me 40 years and a family tree “revision” sent to me by my father with my name removed to finally accept that I was released from my childhood contracts.
