Doing less is doing more
I have to say I have binge listened to your podcast since a friend shared the link with me yesterday. My mind is literally exploding with “Yes! Yes! Yes!” moments, fist pumps in the air and a deep joy at finding you! I wanted to speak to your comment about “doing less is doing more”. I have been privledged enough to spend a week in Reggio Emilia and during a discussion I asked the Pedagogista about schedules and timings. She answered “why do we want to rush childhood? Why don’t we give the child time to be?” I almost got a tattoo with those words! Anyway, I really feel childhood requires trust... we as Early Childhood practitioners need to learn to trust children - that requires listening and observing and being present. Trust the child - now there’s a tattoo I may get! Ange (Budapest, EU).

I have been working in childcare for the last 12 years and some time I ask myself why do I do this. But this podcast reminds me that there are like minded people out there who are passionate about doing this job to the very best of their abilities. It is so inspiring and informative

Such a good, critically reflective podcast that always gives me new topics to study, books to read and things to think about. Heather is so grounded about the way practice and principles relate and it is so refreshing to listen to! I’m always hanging out for the next episode 😌
