“Hi, I just want to say that Amy’s episode on her breakup was exactly what I have been praying for. I met a man two years ago who I fell head over heels in love with. We both were on cloud nine and had big great dreams. We were incredibly happy and compatible. We hardly had issues, made each-other so happy. Our relationship was everything we had ever wanted. Only problem, he’s Muslim, I’m a Christian. Once he told his parents he wanted to marry me, they told him they would make his life very difficult and he wouldn’t have them anymore. We wanted to raise our kids with both religions, they were not ok with that freedom. When he broke up with me, my life came crashing down and it still is. Neither of us want to let go, but he’s on a path of finding someone his parents will approve of while still grieving me, and I am deciding to be alone for a bit: this podcast was EVERYTHING I needed and I will be listening everyday on my way to work. It gave me strength, clarity, wisdom, and Amy really helped me to feel less alone. She nailed all the emotions that we have when going through a breakup and the tools I know will help me to be better and wiser and more loving to myself as I heal. She also made me laugh. Amy, you have done a very good deed. Well done, thank you ❤️🩹”
