Makes my ears ache
Three stars off for excessive dynamic range. I can’t give a positive review to an audio show that causes physical discomfort. Some voices and other elements of the sound are far too loud or harsh when I listen with the volume high enough to hear the quieter portions of the show. As for the content, it isn’t to my taste. I don’t normally leave a review when a podcast simply isn’t a good fit for me, but I’m already here to mention the sound range, so… The stories are far too short for me to give a poop about the characters (better described as “victims”). There seems to be much more effort behind the audio effects than behind the writing. The tales are relentlessly dark and twisted, with no subtlety, little variation in atmosphere, and a lot of overly-familiar tropes. If you listen to a few episodes and like them, you will probably be very happy with the rest if the show.
