Mostly hit, sometimes miss
Most of these stories are really captivating and fun to listen to. However the narrators often over act in an almost unlistenable way. For example, in the most recent episode “Attention Shoppers”, the woman’s highly dramatized reading is cringey and prevents me from getting into the story line, and same with Trevor Shand inhaling sharply through his mouth every few words. Who talks like that in real life? It’s annoying. I think it would be a lot better if the actors didn’t read the stories in such an unrealistic way ETA since I left this review, that has stopped happening. Whether it’s a coincidence or not, I find it to be a great improvement and I’ve listened to and enjoyed every episode since.
