Johnny Fortune, BIM Program Director at the National Institute of Building Sciences, joins us for episode 309 of Art of Construction and the second episode in our series leading up to Digital Built Week 2023. The National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that supports advances in building science and technology. They were established by the U.S. Congress in 1974. They bring together experts from throughout the building industry, design, architecture, construction, and government, and lead conversations to ensure our buildings and communities remain safe. In 2021 NIBS launched their national BIM program in an effort to standardize BIM and data processes throughout the building industry in the United States.
