Description
Ally Rosenberg is a London based sculpture who’s work investigates the human body in cross sections and the perception of materials. Ally is currently exhibition in The Artists Contemporary’s online exhibition Back to Back - co curated with Cassandra Bowes. Ally uses materials to represent the human body in cross sections in a playful and stylised manner. Ally will use a range of materials including marble and expanding foam, and his use of materials makes the viewer questions the tactility and texture of the work. For example the sculptures are often hard to touch but to the eye they look soft and body like. Ally also discuss the idea of just allowing an artist to make without the pressure of every work having to be perfect and sellable.
