“I’m giving this thing two stars instead of one out of charity, since I enjoy the cohosts... when they appear on other podcasts.
I’m a B5 noob. This pod is _hair-pulling_ for first-timers. The hosts have nothing interesting to say, at least not before the spoiler horn. They give a 30-second summary of each week’s episode, then float a few cursory opinions along the lines of “I love this episode!” “I don’t love Sinclair’s performance in this episode.” “This episode made me cry!” while protesting that they can’t delve into the interesting stuff without going into spoilers. Then they blow the horn.
The podcast is therefore somewhere between useless and agonizingly frustrating for nerds like me. We were looking forward to having our hands held by trusted commentators as we walked through the famously intricate series-long arc. Bummer that’s not happening.
People who have already watched the whole bloated thing and loved it might be thrilled by this pod... who knows? (I’ll never find out, unfortunately.) But is that really the only audience you wanted to reach?”
