Yes, there is a stark difference between the two, as business English is influenced by culture — culture bleed, right, that’s a good word for that!. This is includes difference in jargon, slang terms, expressions, and other stuff. One interesting example here is the use of ‘sir’. In the American culture, when you’re a police officer, or a person of authority, and you are to address a local citizen, you’d notice the use of sir/ma’am back and forth.
