Description
Why is 2030 significant? How do books or authorpreneurship facilitate sustainable development? The Caribbean Authorpreneur Summit in January 2024 will shed light on this and today’s podcast is a teaser. The year 2030 is a significant year internationally. With regards to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the centerpiece is the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in September 2015. To catalyze cooperative, transformative action at the international scale, the 2030 Agenda includes a set of 17 universally applicable, integrated objectives for sustainable development. These objectives are officially referred to as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).[1] Chief among these 17 goals is ending poverty in all its forms everywhere along with ensuring healthy lives and promoting wellbeing for all at all ages, and promoting sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.[2] The model of Authorpreneurship proposed on this show helps in the achievement of at least three of the 17 goals.
