Love Danny’s Curiosity.
I did enjoy this podcast, mostly the parts where Danny was talking and doing his experiments. The idea of him sitting in a shed in the garden is so funny to me. Blowing out his speakers in order to replicate the noises “Donald” was supposed to be making. It’s clear to me Shirley was behind these events. It’s very easy for people like her to pull the wool over the eyes of the gullible and people who simply can’t confront a person who is clearly lying/exaggerating. The Enfield circus being a prime example of confirmation bias and priming at work. Don’t get me wrong, I have seen things I can’t explain, but I didn’t want to talk about it for sheer confusion and trying to process the events into some kind of rational explanation. It’s why I listen to and watch things like this. I want to find some explanation and someone who is honest about what happened to them. The one thing this podcast has that I really can’t abide is the droning, warbling song. It’s absolutely horrible. It’s invasive and doesn’t set up a spooky vibe. Thank goodness for the fast forward “button.” Apart from that, all great. Entertaining when you fully understand that the whole thing was a hoax from the start. The “pressure” was an excuse to keep it all going and remain relevant and seen. Her family should have been supportive and seeking proper help for her rather than enabling every whim of a self-confessed “spoiled rotten” child.

Hello from Barcelona! I’m really enjoying this podcast, because I’ve been interested in ghost and any kind of paranormal stuff all my life. The good thing about this podcast is that is trying to find a reasonable answer about what happenned through a proper investigation. I hope the BBC makes...Read full review »
