“If you’re looking for a decent indie podcast, this is a pretty good pick.
In comparison to most indie shows I’ve listened to, this one has fairly decent audio quality for most of its VAs, however because most of the cast has pretty good audio quality it tends to make Newt’s audio stand out where in a production with more across the board mediocre audio, he would blend in.
The story is interesting but it definitely takes a couple episodes to get into. So if you want something that jumps right into the plot, look elsewhere, but if you have the patience, it will pay off.
Dialogue is definitely the writer’s strong suit. The first couple of episodes drag a bit without another character to play off of, but once the outside cast is introduced, a whole lot of energy is poured into the podcast and it comes to life.
I love the supporting cast (Moth or Capy have to be my faves) so that might be why I tended to prefer later episodes. No matter, the first season ends on a twist that has me curious for the next season.”
