Today’s show on black music history
Thank you! This segment was illuminating, insightful and informative. My life is connected through music. However, I ,( being a 57 yr white Jewish woman), have never connected with hip hop. My musical son has tried to teach me, but I was blocked. I love Sam Cooke, Billie Holiday, Ella..the way you linked and explained the progression of black music was an epiphany! My mind has always been open, but I guess I was programmed. This is exciting and moving for me to open a new channel of growth and appreciation. Music is the thread that connects us all. Maybe I’ll try a little harder with country music.. I get it, but in tiny, 1 song doses. Rock and Roll!

Loving the extended length interviews. I enjoy hearing the opinions of the guests, but often times 5 minute segments only touch the surface. It’s nice to hear them deep dive into the days topic!

I love the extra interview. I Podcast all my MSNBC nightly news starting with Nicole and ending with Brian. I call it “Yesterday’s News Today”. Ari is a great journalist who adds an amazing personal touch to each segment or interview. 5 stars. Keep it coming. (Cough, Cough) Ari, start a podcast...Read full review »
