“Hey ladies!
I must say, that this has been the ALL-TIME BEST EPISODE of this or any other podcast! Surprise Ending was right!
Jerilyn, I hate that this happened to you, but I do like the fact that I got a chance to hear his voice and catch a bit of his personality (and yours when with him).
1). In this sort of situation, there isn't really a right/wrong. He wanted something casual and you wanted (or so it seems) a commitment. The only true "wrong" that I see, is the fact that he didn't come right out and tell you what he wanted/didn't want. IMHO, he had to have picked up on the fact that you wanted more than he did. That's never an easy conversation; so since he PURPOSELY never brought it up, he should have grown a pair and TOLD YOU. Even if you had to wait until after work, he should have been SWIFT about it.
Usually when my friends are in these sort of situations, I can't understand what they see in the guy. But in this case, I realized that I kinda LIKED him, while I was listening to him. Too bad. Really.
Jerilyn, may I ask you a question? Were you a tad bit nervous while recording with him?? You sounded a little different. But then again, it could have been my imagination, since I knew I was listening to Kermit.
Anyway, just remember, YOU WILL BE FINE. It might get worse before it gets better, BUT IT DOES GET BETTER. It really does.
Take a long bubble bath and have a nice cry (sometimes I have to cry it out) and know that you have not only Susan & Amy, but also a whole audience full of listeners who love you and think that you're the most awesome chick ever. You already have 'agape' love, and your romantic love is probably right around the corner. But even if he's a few miles away, just be patient and follow your instincts.
