“I love this podcast. This season should not have included Ashley. She should not have recommended a friend to go on the show. I know Ashley is trying hard to stay neutral. The women tell all recap… this was the best WTA, and it’s because of Maria!! She is unapologetically herself, like you Ashley. Of course the apologies are for TV, but she had the balls to do it. She was interrupting bc Jess and Leah showed their age on that stage. Sydney clearly was trying to stay out of it bc she learned her lesson. You said there was more behind the scenes not shown for Sydney to have such an aversion to Maria, but I think it’s clear, Maria is bold and knows herself, and some people just clash with that personality, especially the ones who didn’t have a connection and the jealousy was kicking in. Maria had a connection and a strong personality so obviously a target for this drama. I didn’t mind her interrupting to defend her character and Jess really had nothing to say.. wasn’t concise and clear and nobody cares what she had to say anyway. 23-24 years old compared to 29 really showed on this stage, and throughout the season. Ben has supported Maria the whole way through… and I loved that. She is great TV, we want that.. it’s refreshing. I think having your friend on there is actually not helping your reputation. You are well loved! Don’t go there. And mentioning Jared saying something about Maria and the night being bad too and all the yelling, it makes me not love him as much too. Don’t defend your friend! Just don’t, this is your career!! I’m sure Sydney is great in her own way, not how portrayed on TV but this is her battle and she clearly did not like Maria and chose to bash her and get involved in the drama when that was the worst approach ever!! My rating is for this episode. If you are trying to be neutral, just be that, or let Ben do these on his own just to protect your reputation or perceived favouring of Sydney when so many people are loving this season and a big part of that is Maria. Listen to the comments about her from anyone.. that knows her, they adore her. That’s says a lot.”
