"Himar": Himar Ojeda started his professional career as an Assistant Coach at Gran Canaria in the ACB from 1999-2007 before transitioning to the front office of the same club.  He also worked as a Sports Director at CB Estudiantes before working as an NBA scout for one season with the Atlanta Hawks. Nevertheless, he chose to take on a new challenge and signed with ALBA Berlin in 2016 and has been the team's sports director ever since. Signing with a club that has a rich history as ALBA Berlin was a challenge in itself especially during a rebuild but him and the team still managed to bring home several cup & domestic titles during his period while competing in the Euroleague. Today, Himar and me talked about several topics that encompass the job of a sports director in general. Himar broke down to me what it means to run a club, which parts of the job are relatively unknown, the 'secret sauce' of Aito and the footsteps he left behind, the integration of youth into the pros.
