Grief doesn’t have a specific look, nor does it have an expiration date, but there are some types of grief that might seem uncommon or “wrong” to feel, which can leave us stuck with these feelings without any way to process them. That’s disenfranchised grief—grief that isn’t openly acknowledged on a societal or personal level.
