“The losing a parent episode was helpful and made me cry but in a good way. I lost my own mom in January 2021. Mom was quarantined before entering hospice as a precaution during Covid and she passed away while in quarantine. We hadn’t been allowed in blah blah blah because it was quarantine! Yes, most people should say nothing when a loved one dies. “I’m sorry” or saying nothing will do. The greeting card platitudes were obnoxious. Our culture and society fears death.”
