Pseudoscience
I used to love this podcast when these ladies presented material in accord with their level of knowledge. But it has veered into the territory of pseudoscience more recently. To take one example, the defense of Dr. Jade Teta, which was clearly personal, showed a lack of professionalism and disregard for people with advanced degrees, such as Dr. Layne Norton. Naturopathy is largely pseudoscience-see the SkepDoc blog by Dr. Harriet Hall and also see the powerful testimony of Britt Hermes, who is a former Naturopath herself. Hint: there’s no such thing as functional endocrinology. See also Abby Langer, RD, for an analysis of Teta’s diet recommendations. I have no skin in the game, but as a scientist in another field, I’m tired of hearing non-experts peddle incorrect information with such confidence. These ladies have *so*!much else to offer that is within their knowledge base and I wish they’d stick with it. Some intellectual humility would go a very long way here. I hope that this comment will be taken in the spirit intended.

YES. Ladies. Thanks for being honest and vulnerable. So many women including myself can relate to parts of your story and it’s so important to know you’re not alone. 💜
