There is growing conjecture regarding TotalEnergies' impending withdrawal from its offshore gas discoveries in South Africa. The project's largest partner, the Canadian corporation CNR International, has already declared its intention to leave. Although other parties have 30 days to make a decision, African Energy Corp has stated that it will proceed.
