Made the Bible approachable
Reading the Bible used to be intimidating to me. Fr Mike Schmitz (and the groundwork that Jeff Cavins did) make it so approachable and provide helpful context to make sense of what is happening in the story as well as how it relates to the bigger picture. It’s clear they designed the podcast to fit into busy lives based on the length of each episode. I appreciate that they read the scripture during the episode and keep the commentary to a high level and remain concise. While they can’t cover everything in a single episode it inspires me to return to these pages again in the future for deeper study.

I just heard the first episode and it was just awesome! I learned how chapter 1 and 2 are connected, and the genre of the book of Genesis. The poem was great, wish I had known that when I got married. Looking forward to the next episode 😃
