Very disappointed!
Great intentions, and awareness-raising is great, OES messaging is terrific, and tips are good. BUT as of now, I’m not going to tune my radio in to KPCC. #1 if you’re downtown, you’re not going anywhere fast, even on foot, because of mounds of broken glass on the sidewalks and streets. #2 we need role models who make a plan. Why haven’t you made a plan with your nanny about her own family’s safety, your son’s, where to find supplies, and where to meet? #3 the more people without emergencies stay off voice lines, the more calls will get through. Great that you texted, but don’t be surprised if your messages take hours or days to be delivered. #4 to avoid taking precious medical resources to remove glass from your feet, fasten your picture frames securely to the wall, move breakables down low, latch cabinets. Please make your family plan, get prepared, and then do another episode, and tell us all about it!

More reviews of The Big Disaster: The Big Burn
I heard that this was supposed to come out but as of 7:55am on 1/10- there’s only a preview posted and in the available episodes. Is this podcast out yet? I keep hearing on KPCC that it’s available for download - what’s going on?

I've already made a bunch of changes to make sure we are as ready as we can be for an earthquake. I feel much better with some baseline knowledge of what could possibly happen and how to prepare for it.Read full review »

It’s not about fear. It is about becoming educated and informed on how to survive. I found this not only fun to listen to but also eye opening. I will start preparing my family right away. Thank you!!
