Informative. We have to face it we’re all going to die. I have a will but I have more to do.

Most days I think this is a pretty good podcast. But the report on Bill 124 had an odd moment. In response to a direct question about why the courts found the Bill unconstitutional, the answer was a mishmash of entitlement and opinions about rights. The correct answer is that collective...Read full review »

I’ve been a listener for a few years now and I can say it’s my favourite way to stay informed about what is going on in Canada! Even when there are difficult or worrying topics, I feel like the tone stays balanced and that Jordan and his guests manages to steer away from fear mongering.

Have been listening to this podcast since the pandemic. I have always enjoyed Jordan’s interviewing skills. He’s thoughtful, candid and keeps topics moving. Thanks for an informative Canadian focused news podcast. I have recommended this show to many friends of mine, and they’ve enjoyed it too.

This is a great show. I listen in my car out before bed

Parental rights episode is biased. No perspectives of parents was shared or discussed. After all it’s the parents who are responsible for and provides for the children. We need to be very careful and scientific as children are our future generation and can’t go wrong.

I teach a course on current political events (17-19 year old students) and this is one of my go-to podcasts to prepare them for discussions. Reputable sources clearly explained in an engaging manner. You can’t beat The Big Story!

One of my go-to podcasts if I’m commuting or cooking. Love seeing independent Canadian news at a time where Canadian news is struggling. They typically bring on informed guests and the conversations are always welcomed! Also, I sent in a story idea and they actually did a show related to it!...Read full review »

I really liked how this episode made it clear that MAiD is a careful, well-considered process that is not out to kill people at the drop of a hat. Too many people today leap to conclusions based on emotions and shallow thinking. Most thoughtful answers to important questions include the phrase...Read full review »

I like this podcast but the most recent episode starts off full of inaccuracies. It talks about Paris Hilton on Jimmy Kimmel in 2002… then plays a clip of Paris Hilton on Jimmy Fallon in 2022. I’d love to hear basic facts stated correctly to lend credibility to the rest of the reporting.

Why are you allowing ads from the govt of alberta that actually are full of fake information? You shill out for that while reporting on “objective” news? I used to really like this podcast. It is becoming more and more unbalanced in its reporting- way too left leaning without any real debate or...Read full review »

Adults have “rights” Children have “resilience” Parents are the stewards of the future not the owners. Ignoring someone’s truth that harms no others, and standing in the way of love, that’s the real crime. (mother of 3)

I highly recommend this podcast. It is enjoyable and generally useful. Mr. Heath Rawlings presents the topics in an interesting way and asking useful questions. While some episodes don’t resonate for me, the vast majority are thought provoking and helpful! Thank you - appreciate your good work!

I’m incredibly disappointed with some of the recent content from The Big Story. What was once a reliable source for discourse on topics important to Canadians, is now taking steps backwards with many recent guests and stories, to the point where these conversations become more about sharing a...Read full review »

Thank you for putting this out there. Domestic violence is and has been rampant in Canada for years. I fear it is getting worse as is the toxic environment of our world right now .

I find this podcast to be a form of laundering think tank opinion with specific political goals, and as such it is completely unconcerned about the truth. Pretty insulting to listen to honestly.

This show is just a bunch and f fear mongering leftist propaganda. Avoid, if you care about your brain cells!

I really enjoy looking out for this show in my weekly feeds. Even though they are Ontario based (I am in the west), they do a great job of keeping the listeners informed of subject matter applicable to the daily lives of Canadians and the world beyond, breaking it down in an unbiased manner. This show is part of my daily routine and keeps me updated with what is happening. I appreciate that they give depth to stories that I might otherwise just read a brief summary of in my local newspaper. Keep it up! Oh, and sone more news from outside Toronto and Ontario, please. 🙂

I am a big podcast listener - of NPR, This American Life, The Daily - I am so happy to have found a show show of equal caliber telling Canadian stories - and which takes a uniquely Canadian approach

This is an OK news-based podcast if you want Canadian content, but the host can be overly negative about national policy makers and not provide well balanced coverage in the body of his reporting.

I appreciate the Canadian content on this show, and how the host(s) look deeper into stories past the headlines.

2022- It’s an interesting podcast that touches on topical and current subjects. Some of the guests brought on have a bit of a left leaning bias and the host doesn’t challenge them. It makes for an interesting listen, leaving me with a lot more questions that unfortunately go unanswered. Hopefully...Read full review »

A few weeks ago I started listening to this podcast. I’m about 4 episodes deep now. It is nice to hear some quiet intelligent conversation on important topics. The podcast takes a deeper look into stories that we have likely know of, but goes deeper into them, often with some unexpected aspects to consider. Keep it up! Thanks.

I like this podcast - but it would be great to bring more than one viewpoint into episodes. For example, the union episode was awfully one sided, didn’t point out any of the down side of unions. Going to keep listening for a while and hope it gets better
