For this episode, we explore setting up a F&B business with London-based restaurateur Alan Yau OBE and Gibran Baydoun, maestro of club 1880.  Alan Yau is a celebrated figure in the food and beverage scene in the United Kingdom and the man behind leading London Chinese restaurants Hakkasan and Yauatcha, which have each been awarded a Michelin Star.  Alan’s first ‘hit’ began in 1992 when he opened Wagamama in Bloomsbury and introduced London to healthy Japanese ramen and canteen-style dining. He then ventured on with Hakkasan, elevating the status of Chinese food in Britain. More recently, Alan is tapping on technology to transform the food industry, and is the founder and CEO of Softchow, a restaurant tech platform.  For more information on Alan Yau, please visit [@alanyauofficial](https://www.instagram.com/alanyauofficial). Gibran Baydoun is the Maestro of 1880. 1880 is born out of an idea that is as simple as it is grand: that conversations can and will make the world a better place. 1880 believes that where diverse minds gather, great ideas bloom. It is a salon for creators and explorers to meet, connect and relax in good company and exceptional comfort.
