WARNING! The Black Tapes podcast is ADDICTIVE!
I just found The Black Tapes podcast and it is nothing short of top notch and very addictive entertainment. I almost thought it was real for the first episode and had decided that unless Dr. Strand was filthy rich or had financial backing it was in his best interest to debunk every paranormal case. Then I realized it was fiction. That didn’t matter. Each new episode draws me in and I can’t wait to get to the next one. I even have the theme music stuck in my head and I can’t get it out! It’s almost like this...is...real! HELP ITS GOT ME!! Well Done!!!

I like the content and concept of a fictional told-as-docu-drama-radio show, but the direct allusions to the Serial format and music are a little cringey, not cute or tongue in cheek. This podcast reminds me of the X-Files. It’s intriguing, well written and produced, and the performers are captivating. The writing is intelligent and certainly leaves you wanting to hear more of the story.
