“One of the funniest podcasts you could hope to listen to. I’m not sure if it’s intentional either! The 2 hosts play their role to perfection. They come across as though their lives depend on the results of Carlton games.
The main host seems to idolise the co-host who manages to sound disgusted about everything, even Carlton wins! Think Statler and Waldorf. They speak as though they know the game plan and individual players roles inside out, yet will often say phrases like “I don’t know what he was doing,” or “I didn’t even notice him.” Saying someone has a defensive role, then judging their performance on disposals. Like true footy commentators.
The true gold is when they tell you who should keep their spots and who should be dropped. This seems to be based on how nice the surname of the player sounds to a traditional Carlton fan. They even give best and fairest votes on the same basis. Players with one syllable names will always do well. They may even think that they influence the coaches box or at least they should.
This is what footy is all about. Ride the roller coaster and take it far too seriously! Thanks guys”
