Description
My great friend, the very funny Bruce Gray joins me to discuss our craziest shared bombings. Bruce is one of the Founding Fathers of today's Bakersfield comedy scene and has the stories to prove it. Bruce moved to Los Angeles a few years ago, but prior to moving we slugged it out in some crazy, dangerous, ridiculous shows.
A few things we discuss in this episode are: doing comedy between (alleged) murder scenes, gang-member audiences, doing audience warmup for disgraced politicians (seriously), the true fakeness of TV and politics, why you don't know the ACTUAL funniest comics in the world, and much much more.
Lastly, the final 12 minutes of this episode features an audio recording of our town's worst venue of all time on its crowd's most belligerent night. Bruce was hosting, I was first comic on stage, the crowd were awful awful people, and we both were approximately 3 months into comedy at the time. All the best ingredients for a beautiful tandem bombing I cringe re-listening to, but have provided anyway out of my love for you listeners.
As always, thanks for listening! Please rate/review, and find me @chrisflail on Instagram/Twitter. Enjoy!
My great friend and comedy partner Dan Betts in crime joins my to discuss what it's like to create a piece of content that "goes viral." Dan made a meme last summer that received hundreds of thousands of likes and was picked up by major content aggregator sites.
He came to speak with me while a...
