Murder at the Vicarage
Perhaps your review of Agatha Christie’s novel did not take into account (although you did mention she wrote the book 90 years ago) the ‘fun read’ this story was for people before there was a television in every house. When reading was an enjoyable art. Christie’s mysteries were a diversion from the Great Depression, WW1, and WW2. The fun was in the simple pleasure of sitting down and reading. Also, if you are going to make fun of the names used-check out the proper pronunciation of Hercule Poirot. (Lettuce and Lettice, I’m sorry but how did this confuse you?) Your giggling light-hearted bash of this well-known and respected author, very disappointing.
