“The show itself is fantastic - the podcast about the fantastic show is not at all similar in tone. The constant push in the writing for why you should be watching the show is so inauthentic and distracting. We’re already watching the show. We already like it. That’s why we’re listening to a podcast about it. This isn’t a podcast for people who love the show. It’s a pitch to a non-existent audience of people who will listen to seasons of a podcast before they decide to give the actual show a watch. It feels like a time-share pitch. It’s going to try and sell me NFTs and steal my identity by season 3.”
