“Decided today to stop listening to this. Dosun is knowledgeable, reasoned and eloquent, whereas the other guy, from the comfort of his home in Brazil enjoys telling us where we’re going wrong in our country. It really is like listening to an ignorant loudmouth in the pub who has seen a 15 minute YouTube video about politics. Not too bad when they talk about football, and I do think blending in the politics and music of the time is a great idea – it works sometimes – but good lord, you’ve got to know what you’re talking about.
The guy in Brazil is so desperate to show us his bona fides, i.e. that he only ever listened to black music in the 70s, it’s embarrassing. Dosun meanwhile is quite happy to admit that as well as his soul and funk he listened to Glam rock and prog. Maybe a solo career beckons.”
