Ugh.
This show had an interesting premise, with fairly good world building, but fell flat in many other areas. The “radio segments” were pretentious, heavy handed, or both. The characters were cartoonish and acted unrealistically, which clashed with the realistic world. Don’t get me wrong, these kinds of characters can have a place, but the serious world building broke my suspension of disbelief. Full of irritating, lengthy music breaks thrown in seemingly at random. The characters were hard to care about and distinguish, and the plot tried to do way too much, and did none of it well. Pessimistic with not enough hope, and a miserable ending. Two stars instead of one because I kind of enjoyed some of the character moments and plot points, and bothered to finish the show.
