“It started great. Loved the concept and loved how well it was presented. I found myself hoping it could be turned into a movie. And then came the back story from the slave era. Those episodes were so long, so boring, and so needless. I didn’t need that deep of a backstory. And in fact, didn’t even like how it tied in with burned photo. By the end, there were times I didn’t know what the heck was even going on. The backstory episodes were just hard to focus on and by the time it returned to present day, I had stopped caring”
