MDC - More Developed Country - these countries have higher levels of education, social status for women, longer lifespans, working population that is primarily involved in work that is not primary. LDC - Lesser Developed Country - these countries have lower levels of education, social status for women, shorter lifespans, and a working population that is mostly involved in primary or secondary.
