“The characters are amazing. Wonderfully written, well acted, great chemistry. The story is solid overall, a typical lovecraftian eldritch horror kind of deal. I was invested. The sound editing is not good, however. It’s very difficult, bordering sometimes on impossible, to understand what’s happening during action scenes, which are little more than a lot of grunting and crashing noises, and the volume difference between that and dialogue scenes is maddening. But the characters make up for those shortcomings.”
