SUMMARY In this episode of The Carbon Connection, we are learning about climate adaptation and the fascinating emergence of “climatopias” with Doug Parsons and his guest, Alizé Carrère. Carrère is a National Geographic Explorer, filmmaker, and Ph.D. student researching and documenting human adaptations to environmental change, including the forward-looking plans that architects, designers, and futurists are drawing up in response to imminent environmental change. Carrère shares some of the 4-part PBS documentary series she was part of and highlights her doctoral research on “climatopias,” what they are, and the relationship between transformational adaptation and climatopias.
