Opened my eyes!
I’m very glad I found this course. It opened my eyes to the many issues and challenges surrounding poverty issues. The two professors use real-world, personal examples from their research trips to explain the 5 W’s. Another aspect I really enjoyed about the class was that I fully understand each lecture without any extra effort. Two reasons I can’t give it five stars - one of the professors is extremely difficult to listen to. I won’t name names, but after one lecture by each professor you can figure it out. And like someone already said in another review - some of the examples/themes appear to repeat over and over and over as the class continues. Additionally examples or deeper analysis would be appreciated. Nevertheless, this is a great course for anyone interested in global poverty and very easy to understand. You don’t need to have a college degree or virtually any background in economics to understand the professors.

It's not as compelling as other lectures and classes, and it can be a bit dull. While it does a good job laying out issues, it gets very repetitive after a while.
